Discography

A super-detailed Printed Circuit discography exists at http://www.discogs.com/artist/Printed+Circuit.. here are a few releases of note.

‘CHiP-POP’ LP, April 2011
Vinyl available now from the Printed Circuit shop. If you are looking for mp3 or FLAC downloads of ‘CHiP-POP’ your best bet is probably Bandcamp.

‘Red Tape’
A cassette only release, professionally duplicated onto red cassettes with hand-assembled sleeves and limited/numbered (100 copies). Features all the covers and many of the dodgy samples I’ve used up until this point: ‘Byte Me’, ‘Rasputin’ (Boney M), ‘Starfleet’ (Brian May), Osaka Holiday (MC Miker & DJ Sven) and touched-up 2010 versions of of ‘Sex Dwarf’ (Soft Cell), ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Shed’ (Kylie Minogue), ‘Banana Split’ (original and rare AppleTalk version re-programmed) and ‘I Like Your Stylophone’ (Bilge Pump). Once these tapes are sold no more will be made.

Control / Escape‘Control / Escape’, July 2010, download only.
Download this album at Bandcamp.
Features ‘Control, Escape’, ‘My Butt Hurts’, ‘Robochop’, ‘Greyskull’, ‘Chimps With Everything’ and a remix by Ben Butler & Mousepad.

Cowtown – ‘Powerblingers (Hi-Top Mix)’, City Hands, March 2010.
Remix for Cowtown which is included as a download when you buy their LP. You can also buy the album here.

‘Maximum Party Volume 1′, Maximum Party, August 2009.
A compilation DVD available from Norman Records. Features the video for ‘My Butt Hurts’ plus loads of other amazing bands from Leeds and elsewhere. You can watch the trailer here.

‘Christ! This Wine is Agreeable’, Chinchilla-tone, May 2008.
A Bilge Pump tribute/covers album. Printed Circuit does ‘Thank You Very Much’ with vocals by me and Andrew Raine. The riffs were so complicated I had to work them out on a Stylophone and then draw the patterns on a piece of paper to learn them, hence the new title: ‘I Like Your Stylophone’.

The Sound of the Wonderful Technique‘The Sound of the Wonderful Technique’ CD, Catmobile Records, May 2006.
Download this album at Bandcamp.
Features ‘Continue? Y/N’, ‘Mobira’, ‘Semi-Finals’, ‘Movements’ (featuring Alice Kain), ‘Boy Genius’, ‘A Wonderful Technique’, ‘Osaka Slalom’, ‘Computer Is My Friend’, ‘Dr Grube vs. Thinking Machine’ and ‘Banana Split’ (new version featuring vocals by Frederik Schikowski). The Bandcamp download omits ‘Banana Split’ and instead includes an unreleased extended version of track 1.

Tour CD, CDr, March 2006.
Andrew and I made a tour EP featuring the robot/bird logo on the t-shirts. These were sold mainly in the USA, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. If you have one of these you’re one of about 50 people who do. Due to my memory being seive-like in the extreme I have no idea what was on it.

‘Byte Me’ lathe-cut 8″, 555 records (55540), August 2004.
Features ‘Byte Me’, ‘Dr Grube vs Thinking Machine’, ‘Please Hammer Don’t Hurt Me’, ‘Mobira’, ‘What Makes Men Tick’ and ‘Boygenius’. Design by Shaun Alcock. This is an incredibly rare record and actually sounds worse the more you play it (unlike the other records I’ve released.. ahem). The Adventure Game

‘The Adventure Game’ CD, Catmobile (CMOB10CD), Nov 2002.
Features ‘Paws’, ‘Semaphore On The Dancefloor’, ‘Lunar Olympics’, ‘Accent, Voice and Data’, ‘Switch It On’, ‘Colacubic’, ‘I Heart My Jen Sexy (Part 2)’, ‘Oh, To Be A Mechanical Man’, ‘Circuit Non-Stop’ and ‘Binary Jockeys’. Design by Mike Langlie at YipYop.

Printed Circuit/ Kid606/ Ascdi split “$” 7″, Tigerbeat6 (meow043), released May 2002.
Features the original mix of ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Shed’. Limited edition, no idea how many were made but snap it up if you find one. Design by Tigerbeat6.

‘Acrobotics’ CD EP, 555 (555CD49), May 2002.
Download this album at Bandcamp.
Features ‘Act Robotic’, ‘Hard Drive Soft Drink’, ‘Blinkenlights’, ‘Robophobic’ and ‘Adventure Games’. Design by David Figurine. The CD features a secret remix by Brikolage (the download features a different secret release). A limited edition release – also, many copies were destroyed (against my wishes) so this is pretty rare now.Acrobotics

Features ‘Systematik’, ‘A.I.’, ‘Futurecruise’, ‘Metal Mouse’, ‘My Greatest Invention’ and ‘Namennayo’. Numbered in bubblewrap bag. I think I made 200 of these, if you find one snap it up cos there’s not many around.
